His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Industry, has died. Sheikh Hamdan, was aged 75, and had been in poor health for some time, he served as Finance minister since 1971.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the death on Wednesday.
A 10 day period of morning has been announced with flags flown at half mast. Dubai Media office tweeted:
“Funeral prayers will be restricted to family members due to the (COVID) pandemic,”
